Use the Board syllabus as a scope check

The Board's published syllabus groups the examination around diagnostic radiation and protection, image production and evaluation, radiographic procedures and techniques, patient care and anatomy, and radiological sciences.

The 2026 program is the current exam-specific schedule of subjects; the syllabus provides additional topic context and should not be read as a promise of question counts beyond the published weights.

Study by block

  • Allocate review time across all five equal-weight blocks before narrowing into weak areas.
  • Pair the high-level syllabus areas with the detailed subtopics in the current examination program.
  • Keep Radiologic Technologists material distinct from X-Ray Technologists material because PRC publishes separate examination scopes.
